The visibility was 100' and the water was still like a swimming pool. It was truly one of the best diving days I have seen. The location of our main dive site, Leleiwi, is a bit tricky to enter and exit. You have to walk over some lava rocks, and then climb down about 3' to enter the ocean. However, for Scuba diving in Hilo, it offers a lot.

The diving is great over here with waters averaging 77 degrees generally. The visibility can be from 40' to 100 ft'. We have cold water runoff from the mountain's so the water remains slightly colder than it is on the Kona (west) side of the island so our coral health is doing very well when compared with the warmer Kona side.
