My monitor sometimes after long time goes itself to sleep mode. Sleep and hibernate have always been problematic in Windows. Particularly as computers age for some reason I do not know. Bottom line, I would not recommend using Sleep or hibernate. I do however set it so the disk stops after 20 minutes and the monitor sleeps after 1 hour.
