I tried the controllers on my laptop and they both work well, and looking into drivers on my laptop I do see there are many drivers under xbox peripherals. I checked the .sys files and the files used on my laptop for driver are also presented on my desktop, including dc1-controller.sys, devauthe.sys, and xboxgip.sys.

Two of my friends recently bought PCs, and all was well until they couldn't connect their controller. Neither of them had Xbox Peripherals installed. One of our friends used a 3rd party app called "InputMapper". This worked for him and everything was great, but it didn't work for the second friend.

I have completed dusted it, cleared any residual power via powering off, removing the power source, disconnecting all peripherals, holding the power button for 10-15sec and then powering it back on. I have cleared the CMOS battery. I have reseated the GPU, and I have moved the GPU to a different PCIe slot.

 | Updated windows 10 and now non of my peripherals are working
I updated windows and it initiated a reboot on my PC. After the reboot non of my peripherals are working. My keyboard, mouse, headset, etc. My keyboard, mic, and headset still light up, but not my mouse. Even tho it looks like there is power going to them nothing is working. I have done numerous hard resets to see if it would work, but it didnt.
